ON AN ON is an American experimental-pop band out of Minneapolis, MN, made up of long-time friends and collaborators, Nate Eiesland (vocals, guitar), Ryne Estwing (bass, vocals) and Alissa Ricci (keys, vocals). They released their sophomore album, And The Wave Has Two Sides, on July 24, 2015. “This is another first record for us in a way.” says keyboardist Alissa Ricci “This time we came into the studio as a band. ‘Give In’ (our debut) was us learning to think less and trust our instincts. What you hear on that record is a band beginning. It’s mysterious, and flawed, and honest.”

In 2010, Eliot Sumner released her debut album The Constantunder I Blame Coco, a childhood nickname. Now, after four years of writing, touring and good old-fashioned growing up, she’s back – and this time, she’s casting off the fake band name for good. “It’s now or never,” she says. “I’m proud of the music I’m making and it’s time to take ownership by putting my real name on it.”

Formed in 2008 in Minneapolis, Aaron & The Sea has a certain unforgettable sound with a lo-fi eeriness, dark synth sounds, and driving rhythms. Overlaid with a very accessible, pop-esque vocal melody, its no surprise that their music is often referred to as “nightmare-pop” or “murder-pop”. Drawing influence from remix music, Japanese glitch, Crystal Castles, and Thom Yorke – listening to Aaron & The Sea is comparable to floating in thin air through a foreign landscape of ancient ice palaces on the darkest, stillest night of the year.
