Inspired by the Communion Clubnights in the UK, The Communion Residency is a monthly, multi-genre showcase of local, national, and international emerging talent. The Communion Residency currently exists in nine U.S. markets including New York, Nashville, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Louisville, Kansas City, Twin Cities, and Rock Island. The residencies provide a platform for artist discovery and the lineups are handpicked by Communion staff, other musicians, and a team of hardcore music enthusiasts.

By managing to fuse IDM, Indie and Soul so seamlessly into Danceable beats and catchy melodies, it is no surprise that 23-year-old Noah McBeth (Alias NoMBe) has been able to generate quite a buzz on the LA music radar. A native of Heidelberg, Germany, the classical pianist turned producer wears the many hats of composer, singer/songwriter & engineer effortlessly.

It takes a bit to find our path. Or to know when we’re already on it. Austin Plaine wasn’t looking to become the next great singer-songwriter. Sure, the 23-year old Minneapolis native loved music. Played guitar since he was 13. Revered Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan. Idled his teenage days writing songs in his bedroom.

The grinding beat-infused cadre that is the Holy White Hounds started in late 2013 between long time friends Brenton Dean (vocals, guitar) and Ambrose Lupercal (bass). Having played in various projects across the mid-west, the two longtime friends sat down to create something urgent, novel and infectious. After demoing various songs and lineups, the duo approached Producer Brandon Darner (Imagine Dragons, Radio Moscow, Envy Corps) and began to flesh out the framework for what would become the Holy White Hounds.
