THE RURAL ALBERTA ADVANTAGE
The Rural Alberta Advantage continue their tried and true method of bringing their latest songwritings from the rehearsal space out for some fresh air to road-test the new material with their fans. As they’ve done on previous albums, the band will play a series of intimate shows in some of their favorite venues to perform and re-form some of the new songs they’ve been working on (in addition to the catalogue classics) before returning home to head into the studio for recording their follow up Saddle Creek Records LP.
Following in the footsteps of mood-setters Phantogram and Beach House, tiny deaths is poised to be the next breakout act from Minneapolis, a city rich in talent (having birthed the likes of Poliça and Gayngs in the past few years). Sounding simultaneously almost familiar and yet like nothing else, Grant Cutler (Lookbook, Wolflords) and Claire de Lune (The Chalice) have joined forces to create a fresh take on the dark, brooding electropop movement currently dominating indie rock.
