BOB MEHR

Bob Mehr is the music critic for The Commercial Appeal and a longtime correspondent for MOJO magazine. He contributed liner notes to the Grammy-winning Big Star box set Keep an Eye on the Sky, and has written essays for reissues by the Replacements, Kinks, Warren Zevon, the Dixie Chicks, Al Green and many others. A native of Los Angeles, he lives in Memphis, Tennessee. His 2016 book, Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements, was a New York Times bestseller.

LYDIA LIZA

Lydia Liza got her start in the group Bomba de Luz, composed of five young Twin Cities musicians. The group started taking shape when lead singer Lydia Liza began teaching herself the guitar at age 14. After composing a handful of original songs, Liza enlisted the help of fellow high school sophomores Evan Slack (electric guitar), Gavin Taylor (bass), John Blanda (keys), and Jonas Taghavi/Judah McCoy (drums), and the band was born.
