The Violet Nines are a vibrant outfit with alternative rock sounds influenced by funk, pop and rhythm & blues.

In August of 2017, The Violet Nines were born through the release of debut single, “Made to Be”. What began as a solo project coalesced into a dynamic group of musicians, each member bringing a unique set of inspiration and skill. Shortly after their debut, The Violet Nines started creating what would become Midnight Muse, the band’s first full-length release. This collection of songs, including “Day Job” and “Made to Be”, is set to release in July of 2018.

The Violet Nines connect with their listeners through electric live performances and a unique spin to contemporary music.

Mariah Mercedes is a Pop/R&B singer and songwriter from the Twin Cities. Her vocal croons are comparable to the likes of Norah Jones, Feist, and Emily King. Mercedes’ tunes explore coming of age themes delivered with smooth grooves and a perpetual smirk. At 21, she is beginning to find her sound by combining traces of R&B and neo-soul with her singer-songwriter roots. A Berklee College of Music dropout, Mariah has high hopes in returning to MN to start her solo career with her summer release, Following a Tangled Thread EP.

Wild Age is a rock band from Minneapolis formed by McCoy Seitz, Blair Ransom, and Matt Ahart in 2015. The band has since grown to include drummer August Ogren and Leng Moua on bass guitar. Wild Age has released two EPs, the minimal and vibey Two Palms, and its synth-laced follow-up, Wild Age Goes Crazy. A full-length release is slated for summer 2018.

Texas King formed in 2013 and before long, began earning a reputation for their high-energy rock shows. After tours of Ontario and the east coast of Canada to support a debut EP, October 2017 saw the release of their anticipated full-length album Circles. The album’s lead single “Boomerang” generated attention at Canadian radio, most notably at Toronto’s 102.1 The Edge, and led to an appearance on Global TV during their Canadian release tour. It’s often said that Texas King is best experienced when seen, not just heard. Now armed with their hook-filled debut, the band is ready to make their mark in the world of rock music – one rowdy club at a time.
