THE HOOD INTERNET

ABX (pronounced like three consecutive letters) and STV SLV (pronounced “steve sleeve”) are collectively known as The Hood Internet. For the past five years, the duo have been chewing up the indie, pop, rap and R&B landscapes and spitting out pure fire. Like laptop-armed alchemists, they draw from their expansive interest in the many faces of modern music and re-imagine songs for mass public consumption through thehoodinternet.com.

HOLOGRAM KIZZIE (aka PSALM ONE)

psalmONE_hologram

Psalm One a.k.a Hologram Kizzie is the first woman signed to the prestigious independent record label Rhymesayers Entertainment. While studying chemistry at the University of Illinois, she self-released her debut Bio:Chemistry in 2002 & signed to Rhymesayers in 2006. Since then she has self-released a slew of music & created her own mentoring program, Charm Lab. She is currently finishing an album with producer Oh No.

MY GOLD MASK

At the crossroads of underground and over the top, zoned in and plugged out, raw and riotous, lives Chicago’s My Gold Mask. The dark pop band’s exotic gypsy spells and murderous garage rock ballads have built a unique wall of sound that some have likened to a metallic symphony—pretty impressive when you consider My Gold Mask has, until recently, been a duo.

FLUFFY

fluffy

Portishead meets Shabazz Palaces; Fluffy is an anomaly. The familiar blends right in time with a new voice and a message that never fits into stereotypes. A club kid turned manager turned musician, so she has a 360 degree view of the industry. Fluffy’s experience seeps through the music with a biting honesty. Not only does she make you think, she will also make you giggle, cringe and blush.
